Terms of Service for Skilled Workers

1. About the service

Norvig is a recruitment platform connecting skilled workers with employers in Norway. The service is operated by Norvig AS (org. no. 931 928 732). By registering, you accept these terms.

2. Pricing

The service is free for skilled workers. There are no costs for registration, profile, job search or receiving offers.

3. Registration and user account

You must be at least 18 years old. You confirm that the information you provide is correct, and that you update it when changes occur. You are responsible for protecting your login credentials.

4. Use of the platform

Norvig facilitates contact between worker and employer. The final employment contract is entered into directly between you and the employer. Norvig is not a party to the employment agreement.

5. Notification obligation upon employment — important

If you enter into an engagement or employment relationship with an employer registered in the Norvig portal — regardless of whether the initial contact was created through the portal or independently outside the portal — you are obligated to notify Norvig promptly and no later than within 40 days after the employment is established.

Notification is done via the “Report employment” function in your profile or by emailing kontakt@norvig.no.

Exception: The obligation lapses if 2 years or more have passed since you were last active with Norvig (last login or profile activity).

Breach of the notification obligation may result in account suspension and claims for compensation for lost placement fees from the employer.

6. Personal data

Norvig processes your personal data in accordance with the GDPR and the Norwegian Personal Data Act. See the separate privacy policy for details.

7. Liability

Norvig facilitates contact, but is not responsible for the employer’s fulfillment of salary, contract or working conditions. You are encouraged to verify the employer and contract terms independently before entering into agreements.

8. Changes to terms

Norvig may update these terms. Material changes are notified by email with at least 30 days’ notice. Continued use after entry into force constitutes acceptance.

9. Termination and deletion

You may delete your profile at any time via settings. Norvig may suspend an account in case of material breach of these terms. The notification obligation in section 5 remains in effect after the account is deleted, within the 2-year limit.

10. Governing law and venue

Norwegian law applies. Disputes are sought resolved amicably, then at Hordaland District Court.
